Portland Elopement + Oregon Coast Reception | Jillian & Jeff

Witnessing your best friend tie the knot is very special.  When she and her fiancé happen to be extremely chic and plan a city elopement + beach reception, it's admittedly, even better.  

Jillian and Jeff live in San Luis Obispo, but are both from Washington state.  Deciding to meet in middle, they created the most lovely Oregon Coast reception for their family and friends.  

We started their day at Knot Springs in Portland and it was the most genius move ever.   What's more relaxing then being with your love in those gorgeous light-filled pools??  If anyone's ever made a case for eloping, it's these two.  

A Portland courthouse ceremony, camping, delicious tacos and Salt & Straw ice cream.. could you plan a better week?!

While planning a last minute getaway with my family a month ago, I was told by my husband that there'd be no work.  No sessions booked, no late-night editing.. just family and friends.  Sounded good.. until his cousin (and one of my very favorite people) welcomed her little boy along with her family in the comforts of their own home.  

While I couldn't be there to capture the birth itself (something I'd love to do at some point), we did make a little detour to capture some of the family's first memories together.  

With limited time, the shoot ended up being a little more about the family than a full newborn session, but I'm SO SO happy we had the chance to meet this little man, and seeing his big sis Emerson love on him was over the top cute.
